Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency):
- Utilize Flexera’s suite of tools to manage and optimize software licenses across the organization, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and minimizing overspend.
- Collaborate with procurement, IT, and finance teams to establish and maintain accurate inventories of software assets, including licenses, entitlements, and usage data.
- Develop and implement software asset management (SAM) policies, processes, and procedures to standardize practices and ensure consistency across the organization
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of software usage and licensing compliance, identifying areas for optimization and cost savings opportunities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Flexera solutions, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on software license management and optimization strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate software license agreements, and optimize contract terms and conditions to maximize value and minimize risks.
- Generate reports and dashboards using Flexera’s reporting tools to track key performance indicators, measure savings, and demonstrate the value of software asset management initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in software asset management, continually seeking opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
- Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and Flexera support teams, escalating issues and driving resolution of technical challenges or system issues.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the organization’s overall IT asset management strategy, aligning SAM initiatives with broader business objectives and priorities
