Required Experience & Skillset:For E3- level -- More than 8 years of Experience in IT with a minimum 5 years in SQL administrationExpert knowledge of:Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of current and previous MS SQL server versions dating back to 2016SQL server maintenance tasksSQL server high availability / disaster recovery solutions especially SQL Cluster and Always OnSQL server backup strategies and recovery of instances and databasesPerformance tuning/optimization of SQL serverData encryptionGood knowledge of:SQL server monitoring conceptsData protection (GDPR/SOX etc. concepts)Security, secure SQL server access and user/role assignmentSecure SQL networkingT-SQL\Power ShellCloud concepts – optional (e.g. Azure\AWS\GCP)Power BI basicsHands on experience in:Upgrading and updating SQL serverLog shipping, mirroring, replication techniquesSCOM operationsWindows OS administration - optionalVirtualization technology (VMware/Citrix) - optionalSSIS/SSRS administration – optionalDesired:Strong proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and resolving database-related performance issues.Expertise in analyzing and mitigating wait events, bottlenecks, and resource contention.Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing database replication and CDC solutions.In-depth knowledge of SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Azure knowledge is a plus. Willingness to further grow on Azure technologies is a must.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.Experience with other database systems (Oracle, My SQL, DB2, Postgre SQL) and cloud platforms is a plus.Ability to communicate well in English, Dutch language is an advantage.Ability to plan and execute patch plan for SQL serverOpen to work in 16x5 support shifts and on-call support during off-business hours and weekendsExperience with ITIL processes especially incident, change and problem managementNeed to be independent and coordinate with various teams for the daily operations, plan and execute scheduled activities.Possesses SQL Server Microsoft certification at associate or expert levelWillingness to learn new skills and technologies.Ability to think independently and have ability to find solutions to complex issues from different sourcesAbility to make quick decisions, assume leadership without supervision, able to assume a role of authority as necessary.A keen eye for detail and a result driven approachEffective analysis: Ability to listen, analyze and summarize.Ability to work in stressful situations. Conflict management skills is a plus.Customer and team-work oriented.Outstanding communication skills. Excellent English written and oral communication skillsMicrosoft Certification in SQL Server (Will be Preferred)
