Job Title: Software Engineer (Junior Developer)
Location: Bangalore, India
Division: GPM - Kantar Worldpanel
Job Description: Kantar Worldpanel is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining enterprise-level software using C#, ASP.net, and MVC frameworks. The role requires a deep understanding of Azure Cloud databases and expertise in SQL, API development, and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and Angular. The Software Engineer will work closely with the product management team (GPM) to design and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack development using the Microsoft .NET stack.
- Proven experience with ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework, and front-end frameworks like Angular, React.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Microsoft .NET stack, including ASP.NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software architecture principles.
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Collaborate with architects and other senior developers to design scalable, robust, and secure software architectures.
- Participate in the design and development of microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with SQL Server, including database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including services like Azure App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Functions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, frameworks, and project requirements.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.net, and MVC.
- Experience with Azure Cloud databases and SQL.
- Knowledge of API and GraphQL development.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and Angular.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 5 - 8 years of experience in software development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
