Job Title: Wintel/Windows Administrator

Primary Skills: Windows Administration
Required Experience: 5 to 6 years
Education: Any Technical Graduate
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Windows Administration Services for data centers with 24/7 availability.
- Proactively monitor all servers using BSE tools.
- Monitor CPU and memory utilization.
- Oversee Microsoft Windows resources, event logs, and critical services.
- Provide monthly reports on server availability.
- Respond to and manage incidents until resolution.
- Engage with customer-contracted hardware and software support vendors for incident resolution.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to review and resolve incidents.
- Coordinate with customer contacts and BSE vendors for hardware failures or third-party involvement.
- Reinstall operating systems as needed in case of crashes or specific problems.
- Restore all components during system failures or file system corruption.
- Correlate related incidents into problem tickets and manage through the problem management process.
- Automate OS administration tasks where feasible.
- Patch operating systems for security updates and manage releases.
- Implement best practice configurations according to vendor recommendations.
- Manage Hyper-V environments, including creation, deletion, and configuration of virtual machines (VMs).
- Create and delete VM snapshots.
- Report VM performance status using native and monitoring tools.
- Manage Hyper-V clusters (2012/2016/2019).
- Basic troubleshooting of IIS.
- Manage access rights and folder permissions.
- Maintain complete configuration details of servers in scope.
- Conduct OS hardening as per policy recommendations.
- Perform server inventory management.
- Manage groups and domains.
Desired Skills:
- Server security patching and hardening.
- New server installations.
- IIS troubleshooting.
- Hyper-V management.
- MS cluster/failover cluster skills.
Relevant Experience:
- 5 to 6 years of experience in a similar role.
