Hyve is dedicated to providing beautifully-printed Custom T-shirts, Corporate Wear, Hoodies, and Sports Apparel created with responsible and Eco-friendly production practices. We offer fashionably designed, contemporary basics for men, women, and kids that are produced in India.
Job Description
Design and Development:
- Create innovative sportswear designs, including apparel and accessories that align with brand aesthetics and market trends.
- Develop technical specifications, sketches, and prototypes for new products.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that designs meet performance, fit, and manufacturing requirements.
Trend Research:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, materials, and technologies in sportswear.
- Analyze competitor products and consumer preferences to inform design decisions.
- Stay updated on advancements in fabric technology, sustainable materials, and production techniques.
Material Selection:
- Select appropriate fabrics, trims, and accessories that enhance the performance, durability, and style of the products.
- Work with suppliers to source high-quality, innovative materials that meet design and functional requirements.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to ensure alignment on design vision and product goals.
- Present design concepts and collections to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with manufacturers to ensure accurate production and quality control.
Technical Design:
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for each design.
- Ensure that all designs meet the brand's fit, function, and performance standards.
- Oversee sample development, fittings, and revisions to ensure that the final product meets design intent.
Skill Requirement
- Good knowledge of fabric material, design details and fabric construction
- Produce sketches, mock-ups, and digital renderings to bring design concepts to life
- Understanding of application of fabrications and an assortment of trims
- Collaborate with internal teams to Design innovative and on-trend apparels and accessories goods that resonate with our target audience
Minimum candidate qualifications
- Degree in Fashion, similar related field
- Strong understanding of performance apparel, fit, and functional requirements in sportswear.
- 3 years of experience in ACTIVEWEAR/SPORTSWEAR
- Ability to interpret fashion trends and translate them into commercial designs.
- Sound knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a must
- Experience in CLO 3 D and V Stitcher will be added advantage
- Advanced visual and written communication skills
- Some to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories
