Job description

80dB Communications, a PR and social media communications advisory is looking to grow its team. We’re hiring for a Manager position. If you’ve got  5-7 years of experience of working with a PR firm, let’s connect. 


As a Manager, you will be responsible for managing a set of clients along with a team. 


What you will do:


  • Lead and project manage accounts. Deliver on day-to-day account management that includes client communication, media outreach and ensure delivery on time and to a high standard
  • Conceptualise plans to help clients achieve their communication objectives
  • Deliver on creative ideas and solutions to meet client objectives
  • Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate  impact 
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivating new contacts within business and industry
  • Create content for press releases, byline articles, backgrounders, FAQs, and other day to day communication requirements



What you need to have:


  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills (including presentation skills)
  • Knowledge of media and its operations
  • Good working knowledge of broad economic and business trends
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
