As a Senior Network Engineer , you will be a hands-on technical leader capable of designing, deploying, and managing networks of varying complexities. This is a customer-facing role requiring you to evaluate network topologies and configurations, suggest optimizations, and make necessary corrections. You will also be responsible for creating design and solution documents.

Responsibilities:

Network Design and Deployment:

  • Design, size, and deploy network infrastructures for various environments.
  • Evaluate existing network setups and recommend improvements.
  • Create detailed design and solution documents based on new requirements.

Network Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Manage and troubleshoot L2 networks.
  • Configure and maintain static routing and BGP.
  • Handle Nexus VPC and Fortigate Firewalls (preferred).
  • Utilize tools like IPSLA and Netflow for network performance monitoring.

Customer Engagement:

  • Interact with customers to understand their network requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Engage in technical discussions with senior managers and technical heads.
  • Assist in the adoption of emerging technologies and trends.

Documentation and Optimization:

  • Create and maintain SoP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and PnP (Policy & Procedure) documents.
  • Identify new tools to automate and simplify daily tasks.
  • Review existing infrastructure to identify areas for optimization and improvement.

Required Skillsets:

  • Static routing and BGP.
  • Probing and troubleshooting L2 networks.
  • Route map and Prefix list configuration.
  • IPSLA and Netflow knowledge.
  • Multi-site LAN + WAN design and deployment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with senior managers and technical heads.
  • Nexus VPC.
  • Fortigate Firewalls.
  • Fortigate SdWAN.
  • Experience in creating design and solution documents.
  • Previous experience in creating SoP’s and PnP documents.
  • Ability to review infrastructure and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Basic knowledge of wireless technologies.
  • Help in adoption of emerging technologies and trends.
  • Help identify new tools to automate and simplify tasks.
