ABOUT THE COMPANY Kryon Technology Pvt. iLabs Group) is building India’s next-generation integrated electronics manufacturing platform for PCBA and motor controllers. Our portfolio spans AC indoor/outdoor controllers, BLDC motor controllers, remotes, IoT gateways, routers, STBs and networking devices. We are setting up a high-speed SMT + assembly facility in Sri City supported by a strong design & sourcing ecosystem. Experience: 6–12 Years Reporting To: GM – Operations / MD / President The Work Cell Manager is the business owner for a high-throughput production cell covering Motors & PCBA manufacturing, with direct responsibility for USD 30M annual revenue . This role functions like a mini–Plant Manager for one production business unit, taking end-to-end responsibility for P&L impact, output, quality, cost optimization, line efficiency, manpower performance, and operational excellence . The role requires strong analytical and operational capabilities, deep hands-on experience in electronics / PCBA / motor assembly processes, and the ability to drive daily performance while also focusing on continuous improvement, benchmarking, cost reduction, and data-driven decision-making. Track and control manufacturing cost drivers: material usage, manpower, machine cost, consumables, energy. Drive cost-per-unit reduction initiatives through yield improvement and process optimization. Deliver contribution margins as per plant P&L expectations. Identify and eliminate cost leakages (rework, scrap, tooling mismatch, idle time, overtime). Daily Production Execution Manage cell takt time, cycle time, throughput and adherence to shift plans. Ensure WIP control, FIFO, material flow and inventory discipline. Manage sub-assemblies, testing, final assembly and packing operations. Improve OEE (availability, performance, quality) of machines within the cell. Quality Excellence Ensure compliance to WI, SOP, Control Plan, torque standards, soldering standards and IPC-A-610. Conduct RCA for quality issues using 8D/5-Why/Fishbone analysis. Manpower Management Manage 40–80 operators, line leaders and technicians. Conduct shift planning, skill-based deployment and cross-training. Drive performance discipline, attendance, shift adherence and operator productivity. Support NPI builds, pilot runs, engineering trials and PPAP. Ensure new product documentation & training is done before ramp-up. Supply Chain & Planning Coordination Coordinate with planning for material availability and daily build schedules. Conduct safety toolbox talks, risk assessments and hazard elimination activities. Reporting & Data Analytics Downtime Analysis Present performance updates to Production Manager / GM Ops. Hands-on knowledge of PCBA assembly, motor assembly, soldering, testing and line balancing. Familiarity with IPC standards, work instructions and quality controls. Understanding of basic financials: unit cost, contribution margin, costing structure. Ability to manage high-output production in multi-shift environments. Strong team management and shop-floor leadership skills. Experience running continuous improvement programs. Ability to work under pressure in fast-moving production cycles. Diploma/B.Tech in ECE / EEE / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering. Training in Lean / Six Sigma is an added advantage.
