Job Role: Sr Data Scientist (Metals & Mining)
Job Location: Pune
Education/Skills/Experience: • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Metallurgy engineer. with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience
Essential Duties and Key Competencies:
• A metallurgical engineer with Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from reputed college in India with minimum of 5+ yrs of shop-floor experience
• Good understanding of the metals & mining, cement operations (Steel, Zinc, Aluminum, Mining, Cement)
- Knowledge of blast furnace, smelting operations
- Knowledge of primary and secondary steel making process
- Knowledge and understanding of the rotating and statics assets (ESP, Compressors, blowers..etc)
- Knowledge of Rotary kiln, cement milling operations
Please note:
• Candidate is expected to learn and explore the opportunities
• It is preferred that candidate should have experience in 2 out of 4 listed area
Knowledge and understanding of the process parameters (Sensors) IOT, mechanical parameters required to develop the models for the above areas
• Eager to explore new technologies, learn and explore new industries
• To Architect the data driven solutions for successful and practical implementation of techniques
• Experience in developing and architecting the solutions for data models and workflows
• Strong knowledge of Data Science (ML-AI) frameworks and 1st principle modeling
• Experience of AWS/Azure is an additional credit
• An Engineer with comprehensive engineering, mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills
• Comes with a strong communication skill and leadership skills
• Expertise in using ML/AI frameworks (Python, R, MATLAB, etc.) and statistical techniques to identify the correlations and trends in the data
• Involve and lead the pre-sales activities – Webinars, Blogs, polls and supporting marketing activities
Additional Skills Good to have
• Certification in Azure, AWS or GCP machine learning platforms
• Understanding of cloud-based ML/AI architecture and deployment strategies
• Understanding of MLOps and its best practices
• Experienced with mlflow, Jenkins and others
• Knowledge of SQL, No-SQL, time-series database
