This role is crucial for planning scalability and ensuring that the system meets the future demands of the organization.System Integration: Ensures that the GIS infrastructure integrates seamlessly with other IT systems and data sources within the organization. This may involve working with databases, ERP systems, and web services.Security Design: Designs and implements security protocols to protect GIS data and services, aligning with organizational IT security standards.Installation and Configuration: Responsible for the installation of ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and related components. Configures these components to work together effectively and meet organizational needs.Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly updates software to the latest versions and patches to ensure security and efficiency. Manages system backups and disaster recovery plans.Performance Monitoring: Monitors server performance and undertakes tuning and troubleshooting to optimize the system. Uses logs and other tools to proactively address issuesCollaboration with IT Operations: Must work closely with the IT Operations team to define all GIS network traffic requirements as it relates to ArcGIS Service needs while maintaining InfoSec policy controls.
