Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II - P&ID
Location: Bangalore or Coimbatore
Responsibilities
Design and develop P&ID for new and existing manufacturing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to identify potential risks and recommend preventive measures.
Perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize system performance.
Create technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports, to support project delivery and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials and equipment for piping systems.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to piping systems, proposing and implementing corrective actions.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in P&ID design and engineering practices.
Requirements & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with relevant experience of 3-5 years required.
Proven experience working with mechanical systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
Proficient in CAD software for design and simulation purposes.
Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the semiconductor industry.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical components.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
Ability to think out-of-box.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.
Regarded as a technical expert in their field.
Proficient in the use of Solid Works PDM
