Purpose of the Role: Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the IT infrastructure across both cloud and on-premise environments. Design, implement, and manage solutions on AWS and GCP, while maintaining a robust Linux server ecosystem that supports business applications and operations. Enable seamless availability of IT services, drive automation and cost efficiency, strengthen infrastructure security, and provide expert support to ongoing technology initiatives within the organization.ResponsibilitiesLinux:- Install, configure, harden, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, Cent OS, RHEL).- Perform routine server maintenance—patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and log analysis.- Manage web, application, and database servers hosted on Linux environments.- Implement backup and recovery mechanisms.- Monitor system health, capacity, and performance using tools like Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.- Develop scripts using Bash, Python, or similar languages for automation and operational efficiency.- Implement CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Git Hub Actions) for deployment automation.Cloud Administration:- Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud architectures on AWS and GCP.- Implement cloud services such as EC2/Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, Cloud Storage/S3, Load Balancers, Cloud SQL/RDS, Cloud Monitoring/Cloud Watch, etc.- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform / Cloud Deployment Manager / Cloud Formation.- Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.- Manage cloud security, access controls, and compliance configurations.- Troubleshoot cloud-related incidents, performance issues, and service outages.- Manage network configurations: firewalls, VPN, load balancers, routing, VPC/Subnetting.- Ensure adherence to security best practices across cloud and server environments.- Conduct vulnerability assessment and remediation in coordination with security teams.Collaboration and Support:- Work closely with development, networking, and security teams to ensure seamless integration, alignment with company-wide IT goals and cross-functional initiatives.- Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure incidents and participate in on-call rotations.- Maintain detailed infrastructure documentation including architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, system configurations, procedures, and knowledge base articles.Qualifications:-- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS & GCP).- Strong expertise in Linux server administration.- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, etc.).- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).- Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, Subnetting, Firewalls).- Experience with monitoring/log management tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, Stackdriver, ELK, etc.).- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Dev Ops workflows.- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
