Health, human and social services are at the core of a nation's development agenda. India's social sector spend is increasing, with trends such as direct benefits transfer, digital monitoring, private sector enablement and impact investment driving outcomes in sectors such as Water, Sanitation, And Hygiene (WASH), healthcare, financial Inclusion, social and rural development, livelihoods, and affordable housing. The sector has witnessed a paradigm shift from a treatment-based model to a preventive focused model. This is likely to accelerate growth opportunities in the sector. KPMG in India’s Health, Human and Social Services (HHSS) practice works with government agencies, multilaterals, donors, private sector participants, civil society stakeholders and other social sector organizations to deliver efficient, equitable, and effective health, human and social services that create sustainable societies. >>Qualifications:

• MBBS with MD in Community Medicine, Pathology, or MHM from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in public health.
• Experience working in the Government sector is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsing for data and document searches.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Knowledge of Kannada is desirable.

>>Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Develop and implement laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and timely testing and reporting.
• Collaborate with public health officials and other stakeholders to support community health initiatives.
• Provide expert advice and support on laboratory-related issues to government and non-governmental organizations.
• Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Utilize computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsing tools for data analysis and report generation.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on laboratory findings and public health trends.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan public health strategies.
