Summary: We are seeking an experienced SDET Manager to lead our quality assurance efforts, ensuring the highest standards of software quality through effective automation strategies and testing practices. This role involves close collaboration with business, product, and engineering teams to drive product launches and improve overall quality processes. Key Responsibilities:Collaboration: Regularly sync with business stakeholders, product teams, partners, and internal engineering teams to provide feedback on requirements, project estimates, and decision-making for product launches.Automation Strategy: Define automation requirements and enhance automation frameworks for both UI and backend systems.Test Planning: Deliver comprehensive test plans based on product test strategies, and facilitate test plan reviews with engineers and stakeholders across functions and geographies.Gap Analysis: Identify gaps in automation coverage, reduce manual testing efforts, and implement improvements to existing automation test suites.Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with projects and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of SDET and QA engineers, providing technical expertise, direction, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices in coding, testing, and software design.Project Management: Oversee validation phases of projects, monitor tasks and progress, and provide regular updates to leadership.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with application development teams and DevOps to enhance system performance, scalability, and resiliency.Metrics Management: Define, measure, and own key quality metrics and manage KPIs for the testing team.Troubleshooting: Debug and troubleshoot bugs and system issues, analyzing logs end-to-end.Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality and testing processes within the organization, advocating for shift-left testing practices.Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.10 to 12 years of relevant industry experience in API testing, automation and functional testing.Hands-on experience with various testing types, including integration, system, sanity, smoke, regression, and acceptance testing.Strong technical experience in object-oriented design and proficiency in one or more programming languages (JavaScript, Python, Typescript, Java).Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines, version control, test management, and integrating automation frameworks.Familiarity with cloud systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a preference for AWS and related services (EKS, S3, ELB, RDS).Proficient in troubleshooting system logs using log management tools (ELK, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk or Grafana).A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in managing a team of SDET / DEV engineers.Experience in commerce-related domains (e-commerce, point of sale, loyalty/rewards, or payment gateway systems) is a plus.Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced, team-focused enviro
