Job description

Semi-Qualified CA/CMA


Looking for a semi qualified CA/CMA at a fast growing multinational chartered accountancy practice based out of Kolkata.

The candidate must have had experience in handling audit, accounting and tax work.

The candidate must have had experience in leading a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and review tax computations (direct and indirect taxes).
  • Assist in filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.
  • Support in handling tax audits and responding to notices from tax authorities.
  • Prepare schedules and documentation required for audit processes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Good understanding of tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Background: Partially completed CA/CMA or equivalent.
  • Experience: (1-3 years) of relevant experience in accounting, taxation, or finance roles.
  • Certifications: Ongoing pursuit of CA/CMA certification.
