Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress and programming knowledge in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python to design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end automated test frameworks for web applications.Location: Chennai (only)Mode: F2FRequired Skills:- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- Strong hands-on experience in Cypress test automation.- Overall 4-10 years of experience in IT and minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in Cypress is must.- Proficiency in one of the following languages – Java / Javascript / Typescript / Python.- Experience with REST API automation using Cypress or other tools is good to have.- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologyKey Responsibilities:- Design and develop automated test scripts using Cypress.- Implement test cases for UI, API, and regression testing.- Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to identify test scenarios and ensure full coverage.- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).- Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain existing automation frameworks.- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices in test automation.- Prepare detailed test reports and track defects to closure.Good to Have:- Knowledge of Playwright, Selenium, or API Automation.- Knowledge in Insurance domain is good to haveThe Cognizant community:We are a high caliber team who appreciate and support one another.
