Oracle Hyperion Essbase Engineer

We are seeking skilled Oracle Hyperion Essbase Engineers to join our team supporting the company’s Planning and FP&A functions. This role focuses on operational support, process documentation, and maintaining clear architectural and data flow diagrams to ensure smooth functioning of financial models, accurate data flow, and system transparency.Roles & Responsibilities:- Provide day-to-day operational support for Essbase applications, resolving issues and responding to user queries- Build and maintain Essbase ASO/BSO cubes for planning, budgeting, and forecasting- Collaborate with FP&A teams to gather requirements and enhance reporting models- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation- Create and update architecture and data flow diagrams for planning systems and integrations- Manage calc scripts, load rules, metadata, and user access controls- Perform regular data validations to ensure data accuracy across environments- Support integrations with ERP and data warehouse systems- Serve as technical lead and subject matter expert (SME) for Essbase and planning tools- Define and enforce documentation standards and operational best practices- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues- Own and maintain system architecture and data lineage documentation- Review deliverables from team members and guide them on performance tuning and model design- Coordinate with Finance and IT stakeholders to align roadmaps and prioritiesRequired Skills & Experience:- Strong hands-on experience in Essbase cube development (ASO/BSO) and operational support- Proficiency in calc scripts, load rules, MaxL, and MDX- Solid understanding of financial planning and forecasting cycles- Experience creating technical documentation, SOPs, and using diagramming tools (e.g., Visio)- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Ability to support both production environments and enhancement projects- Strong communication and collaboration skillsPreferred (Nice to Have):- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., shell, Python)- Experience in Agile project environments- Knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau#Oracle #Hyperion #Essbase #ASO #BSO #FinancialPlanning #FP&A #Finance #Planning #Budgeting #Forecasting #FinancialModeling #ERPIntegration #DataFlow #DataAccuracy #TechnicalDocumentation #SOP #CalcScripts #LoadRules #MaxL #MDX #SystemArchitecture #DataLineage #OperationalSupport #FinanceTransformation #FinanceTech #Automation #Python #ShellScripting #Agile #AgileFinance #ReportingTools #PowerBI #Tableau #ITFinance #FinanceAnalytics #BusinessIntelligence #BI #FinanceOps #FinancialSystems #FinanceLeadership #FinanceInnovation #FinancialReporting #FinanceOptimization #FinanceProjects #FinanceStrategy #FinanceSolutions #FinanceSME #FinanceIntegration #FinanceTeam #MumbaiJobs #FinanceCareers #OracleJobs
