Job Description: Software Testing EngineerAbout Clean ElectricClean Electric is a Series A funded battery tech company focused on designing and manufacturing advanced li-ion batteries for EVs and energy storage applications which enable 12-min rapid charging, long life and unrivalled safety. We are pushing the boundaries of the EV industry with our Direct Contact Liquid Cooling (DCLC) thermal management, integrated cell-to-pack (CTP) architecture, and proprietary dynamic charging algorithms running on a custom-engineered in-house battery management system.Founded in 2020 by IIT-BHU graduates Akash Gupta, Abhinav Roy and Ankit Joshi, we are today rapidly scaling and deploying our tech across 2W and 3W segments with plans to enter 4W and commercial vehicles as well. The team comprises multiple IIT, IIM graduates and industry professionals and we are backed by some of the leading Indian VCs.Role OverviewThis is a full-time, onsite role for a Software Test Engineer at Clean Electric Private Limited.Responsibility:- Execute manual testing for web and mobile applications.- Identify, document, and report software bugs with clarity and accuracy.- Collaborate with developers and designers to resolve issues effectively.- Perform various testing types including regression, sanity, smoke, and functional testing.- Provide feedback to enhance user experience and product quality.- Participate in code and test case reviews, ensuring adherence to QA best practices.- Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to process improvements.- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and other QA documentation.- Use tools like JIRA for defect tracking and reporting.- Support and mentor junior QA team members as needed.Desired Qualifications and Experience:- 2+ years of experience in software testing- Basic understanding of core software testing concepts and methodologies.- Familiarity with Android, iOS, and web platforms.- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).- Exposure to Agile development processes.- Experience using testing and defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Postman).- Hands-on experience with testing types such as unit testing, integration testing, load testing, and stress testing.- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.Desired Skills and Attributes:- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.- Good verbal and written communication skills.- Solid documentation and reporting abilities.- Team-oriented with a proactive mindset.- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced development environment.- Willingness to take initiative and provide constructive feedback.- Capability to guide and support less experienced QA team members.Location: Pimpri Chinchwad, PunePay and Benefits:Competitive pay as per market standard, will be evaluated based on profile and skills.
