About the Opportunity:

Are you an expert in QuickBooks Desktop with a passion for seamless migrations? We’re looking for a QuickBooks Migration Specialist to lead a legacy QuickBooks environment's transition to AWS, enabling a secure and reliable multi-user access setup via RDS. Join our fast-paced team and bring your technical expertise to this critical short-term project

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration of QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, Enterprise) from on-premises to AWS RDS Multi-Session Access .
  • Assess the current QuickBooks environment, dependencies, and data structures for a smooth transition.
  • Configure AWS infrastructure to ensure secure, optimized, and scalable hosting for QuickBooks.
  • Validate and troubleshoot the QuickBooks environment post-migration to address compatibility and access issues.
  • Perform data migration, validation, and reconciliation to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity.
  • Optimize QuickBooks Company Files for multi-user environments, maintaining historical accuracy.
  • Provide documentation on migration steps, configurations, troubleshooting, and user training.

Required Skills & Expertise:

QuickBooks Expertise:

  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop versions ( Pro, Premier, Enterprise ) and their data structures ( QBW, QBB ).
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks data migration, including historical data, transactions, custom fields, and payroll setups.
  • Hands-on experience in multi-user QuickBooks setups , user permissions, and session stability.
  • Advanced skills in QuickBooks API integration and custom feature reconfiguration post-migration.
  • Expertise in report customization , focusing on industry-specific and multi-company reporting.

AWS & Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of AWS RDS multi-session configurations tailored for QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure best practices for secure and scalable QuickBooks hosting.
  • Backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving QuickBooks compatibility or access issues in cloud environments.

General Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail, especially in data validation and financial accuracy .
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills for team collaboration and user training.
