Role: L2 & L3 Protocol test EngineerRequired Technical Skill Set** L2: VLANs, x STP, LACP, LLDP, VRRP, Mac learning, ARP, Q in QL3: OSPF, BGP, ISIS, QOSExperience Range - 4-6 yearsLocation: HyderabadDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)Must-Have**Experience in L2 & L3 Protocols testingFamiliarity with traffic test equipment like ixia and Spirent.Ability to understand end to end regression testing work flow at technology area and platform/product levelHaving experience and capability in solving complex issues in testing.High quality debugging skills, ascertaining the reason for failure, distinguish between a SW bug or otherwise precisely.Test automation frameworks, tools and scripting languages is a must and preferably in Python, Robot framework.Strong analytical skills to debug and isolate problems.Aptitude to learn new technology quickly and adapt to new feature testing/new assignments faster.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Responsibilities include, test planning, test script execution, defect analysis & tracking, and script fixing and test reports.Good exposure in following technologies:Routing & switching architectures.L2: VLANs, x STP, LACP, LLDP, VRRP, Mac learning, ARP, Q in QL3: OSPF, BGP, ISISQOSFirewalls & PolicerECMP & load balancing.Familiarity with traffic test equipment like ixia and Spirent.
