We, at AND are hiring for the role of Senior Buyer.


Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Market Research and Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends, competitor products, and market demands to inform purchasing decisions. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging brands.
  • Vendor Coordination: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Help negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize inventory and margins.
  • Product Selection: Collaborate with the Buying team to select items that meet quality standards and align with the brand's image. Evaluate samples and make recommendations based on style, quality, and price.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, analyze sales data, and forecast demand to ensure optimal inventory turnover and prevent overstock or stock outs. Assist in planning seasonal and promotional buys.
  • Order Management: Assist in placing and tracking orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of merchandise. Address any issues related to order fulfillment and resolve discrepancies.
  • Sales Analysis: Review sales reports and customer feedback to assess product performance. Use data insights to recommend adjustments in buying strategies and inventory levels.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Fashion Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of fashion trends, fabric types, and garment construction. Passion for fashion and a keen eye for style and detail.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and inventory reports to make informed purchasing decisions. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with vendors, team members, and management.
  • Negotiation Skills: Capable of negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with purchasing software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


Experience:

  • A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 6-8 years of work experience in fashion buying, retail management, or related field.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in product selection and order accuracy.
