You will lead the strategic, operational, and technical aspects of the organization's solar energy initiatives. This individual will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of solar projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s solar energy strategy, aligning with broader renewable energy goals.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for solar energy projects, partnerships, and markets.
  • Advocate for solar initiatives within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Oversee end-to-end development of solar projects, from feasibility studies to commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with technical, financial, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing solar team comprising engineers, analysts, and project managers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, legal, and operations to streamline project delivery.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Optimize the performance of existing solar assets to maximize efficiency and ROI.
  • Implement industry best practices for sustainability, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Monitor market trends, technology advancements, and policy changes to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of the solar industry.
  • Manage the division’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Drive financial modeling, risk assessment, and return-on-investment analyses for projects.
  • Identify funding opportunities and manage relationships with investors or financial institutions.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) or a focus on renewable energy is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar energy projects.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale solar energy projects from conception to completion.
  • Experience in managing teams and working with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of solar technologies, energy storage systems, and power purchase agreements (PPAs).
  • Deep knowledge of solar project development, operations, and financing.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in project management tools and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and permitting processes.
