You'll design and build scalable web applications, develop robust back-end services, and implement enterprise architectures that power our gourmet Italian food delivery business. Application Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using TypeScript and JavaScript Build robust backend services using Java and modern frameworks Implement and optimise database solutions for high-performance applications DevOps & Infrastructure Design and implement containerised applications using Docker Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters Leverage Google Cloud Platform services for scalable cloud solutions Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes Monitor application performance and implement optimisation strategies Optimise system performance and reliability Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards Contribute to agile development processes and sprint planning What you need to excel Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (GCP, AWS) are a plus Programming Languages & Frameworks TypeScript - Advanced proficiency in TypeScript development JavaScript - Expert-level JavaScript, including ES6+ features Database Technologies Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases Experience with database design, optimisation, and performance tuning Knowledge of data modelling and migration strategies Cloud & Infrastructure Google Cloud Platform - Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL) Docker - Containerisation and Docker ecosystem expertise Kubernetes - Container orchestration and cluster management Experience with cloud-native application development Microservices - Design and implementation of microservices architecture System Integration - Experience with integration patterns and middleware Experience ~5+ years of software development experience ~3+ years working with cloud platforms, preferably GCP ~ Experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members ~ FMCG - Understanding of supply chain, inventory management, and consumer behaviour Retail - Experience with e-commerce platforms, POS systems, and retail operations B2C Business - Knowledge of customer-facing applications and user experience optimisation AI & Emerging Technologies AI Expertise - Experience with AI/ML integration, LLM implementation, or AI-powered features MCP (Model Context Protocol) - Familiarity with MCP or similar protocol standards for AI systems Experience with prompt engineering, AI model fine-tuning, or AI agent development Knowledge of AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and AI system monitoring
