ABOUT US


Fundalogical Ventures is a differentiated investment platform which will back visionary entrepreneurs who are building disruptive businesses in sectors which proxy the India growth story and drive India to become a global innovation leader.


It’s a sustainability focused investment fund which will primarily invest in high growth, untapped sunrise sectors like supply chain, logistics and peripheral sectors like consumption. Our strategy is to invest where we have deep domain expertise as well as hands-on experience. We will invest in pre-Series A to series B rounds in about 10-15 companies. 


The Fund is led by Ratna Mehta who have over 2 decades of experience across firms like JP Morgan, leading investment firm Everstone Capital and Boston Consulting Group. The Fund is anchored by seasoned entrepreneurs / industry veterans + pedigreed finance professionals like the Chairman of JM Baxi Group (one of India's largest port operator), Bluedart founder (leading express delivery company in India), among others. The anchors support the platform with their mentorship and network access, while the fund management is led by the CEO. 


ROLE

Senior investment team member who needs to run deals end to end from sourcing to exit, and help in organization building as a core team member.


RESPONSIBILITIES


· Lead all aspects of the investment process, including: sourcing, deal evaluation, performing due diligence; handling negotiations; structuring transactions, portfolio management and exits.

· Sourcing of deals from various sources – should have / developed a strong network across the ecosystem

· New deal development and analysis – validation of industry thesis, development of investment angles, competitive industry and market analysis leading to a recommendation.

· Monitoring and implementing improvements at portfolio companies, impact analysis and exiting investments.

· Building and training the investment team

· Developing systems and process for building a premier investment firm


GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS


Key attributes of the successful candidates would be:


· 8-12 years of India Venture Capital / Private Equity buy-side experience; Logistics, Consumer, Sustainability sector experience is preferred

· Strong network within the VC / PE ecosystem

· Deep understanding of business dynamics across key sectors and characteristics of good investments

· Good corporate finance understanding, analytical skills and business acumen, ability to handhold as well as lead on excel modelling

· Ability to engage with external stakeholders like bankers, advisors, ability to interact with top management teams is a must

· Experience in leading commercial, financial and legal due diligence and in deal negotiations & documentation and experience in managing portfolio companies post investments

· Top quartile academic performance with undergraduate degree from IITs / equivalent qualification, along with post graduate degree in business from premier institutes / accounting (CA first attempt / ranker)

· Ability to operate with limited supervision. Dedicated team player with a strong sense of ownership; eager to learn and work with others

· Working in lean teams with the ability to lead and monitor the entire deal. Also, be able to manage a team of Analysts and Associates

· High level of rigour, persistence and perseverance
