JOB REQUISITESRole Summary WSP is currently seeking a Senior Civil 12 D Designer for Australia Mining Projects (Materials Handling Infrastructure). They shall be responsible for creating and editing drawings / Models in compliance with WSP CAD and Client Standards utilizing Micro Station Connect software and 12 D. The position is for BANGLORE location. A Team player and willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in Australia. Responsibilities This role is for a Senior Civil 12 D Designer on mining projects. Responsible for preparation of drawings and 3 D Models Prepare civil drawings and models that involve civil earthworks for roads, railways and mining infrastructure for new and brownfield mines. Proficient in the use of Bentley Micro Station 2 D and 3 DProficient in the use of 12 D modelling software. Must complete a high-quality self-check of own work with efficiency. Shall follow internal QC processes. Perform review of engineering drawings, as per markups made by the Checkers. Verify to ensure drawing modifications are accurately and correctly carried out. Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule and budget requirements. Communicate with internal peers and project team and required to answer questions regarding deliverables. Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects with the ability to accurately predict the time required to fulfil the individual scopes of work required. Coordinating with Australian lead offices as per project requirement. Able to perform Material Take-Offs with Bentley Micro Station, 3 D modelling software and excel. Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process. Ensuring that quality procedures are implemented and maintained. Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Lead Designer. Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies. Develop expertise and stay up to date of developments in Drafting skills. Support the company’s approach to sustainability. Able to communicate in a multi-disciplinary project team. Willing to learn and be polyvalent. Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline. Client / External focus Maintain strong colleague relationships and contribute to the teams’ performance of client satisfaction. Contribute to knowledge sharing in internal and external forums. Remain up to date with market and competitor knowledge. Key Competencies / Skills: Mandatory skills We anticipate you will have an interest in the following areas: To contribute to growing Mining Infrastructure Teams with CAD related works using Bentley Micro Station. You will also be computer literate with a reasonable proficiency in MS office suite and 12 D modelling software. Having a thirst for knowledge, cultural awareness, an open mind, and good English communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team. Coordinating his/her work with other members of the Team. Work competently with minimal supervision or on an individual basis. The candidate must have a valid passport. Key competencies expected are: Collaboration & Teamwork Technical Capability & Delivery Adaptability & Learning Desired skills Preference will be given to candidates with minimum 5-10 year of experience in a consulting firm in mineral processing using Bentley Micro Station and Project Wise. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis. Qualifications5-10 years of experience in Civil 2 D/3 D drafting and modeling. Minimum of a Diploma in civil engineering. Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills. Strong attention to the detail. Familiar with working in a LEAN environment. Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English Experiecne with 12 D.
