Job title: Senior Software Developer - Application Security

Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid)

Role Overview:

  • As a Senior Software Developer with KX you will create, automate, expand, and optimise secure development practices and code security tooling across KX products.
  • This role will encompass the development of security tooling and extensions for KX products leveraging q, Python, Java, C, C++, Go, Rust, and JavaScript and establishing interoperability with other elements of the KX product suite and partner teams.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders, partners and the wider R&D team at KX to solve interesting and challenging problems to help a growing community of users.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, create, implement, and optimise security tooling and integrations.
  • Collaborate with team members and external clients to develop optimised and user-friendly solutions to complex problems.
  • Keep up to date with developments within the Application Security community to ensure KX is at the forefront of this arena.
  • Promote education on secure coding practices to R&D teams in conjunction with our training partner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and security issues with internal and external customers.
  • Participate in security requirements analysis, threat modelling, code reviews, and remediation efforts to ensure code quality and security are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Willing to work in UK shift timings as per the team need.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field or relevant professional certification.
  • A strong understanding of and passion for clean, efficient software architecture and development.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, C, C++, GoLang, or Rust.
  • Solid understanding of software packaging and distribution.
  • Demonstrable experience with CI/CD methodologies, tooling, and pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills/attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
