Job Title: Senior Data Analyst - Operations (SaaS)
Job Summary:
As the Senior Data Analyst - Operations in a SaaS environment, you will harness data to enhance operational efficiency, support strategic decisions, and drive overall business success. Working with cross-functional teams—including product, marketing, sales, customer success, finance, and engineering—you’ll deliver actionable insights to support data-driven operational goals aligned with company objectives. The ideal candidate will bring experience in SaaS operations, advanced analytics skills, and a proven ability to leverage data for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Management:
- Gather, clean, and manage data from sources like CRM, customer usage, and billing systems.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across departments.
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering to optimize data pipelines and storage.
Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze data to identify operational inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Offer data-driven recommendations for SaaS operations and product efficiency.
- Perform root cause analysis on operational bottlenecks to enhance performance.
KPI Tracking & Reporting:
- Define and monitor KPIs, such as NPS, resolution times, system uptime, and renewal rates.
- Report KPIs to senior leadership, translating data into actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Process Improvement:
- Work with teams to identify and address process inefficiencies in the SaaS customer lifecycle.
- Use data to optimize customer success efforts and reduce churn.
Forecasting & Predictive Analytics:
- Build models to forecast trends like churn, revenue growth, and support demand.
- Deliver insights for resource planning and optimize decision-making.
Automation & Integration:
- Identify automation opportunities in operational workflows.
- Integrate data from SaaS tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gainsight, Zendesk) into analytics platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with teams across the organization to align data initiatives with business goals.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in data analysis, with at least 4+ years in SaaS or tech environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with tools like Python, R, and Excel.
- Expertise in data visualization (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, CAC, LTV, churn) and tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Zendesk.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
Preferred: Experience in SaaS or tech companies, Google Data Analytics certification, or Lean/Six Sigma experience.
