The Senior Full-Stack Engineer is responsible for the front-end and backend design, build, testing, and release across multiple streams. This role requires experience with agile software development, utilizing appropriate agile methodologies and lean practices. The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will build reliable, scalable solutions with a focus on value to the customer. This role will also demonstrate practical experience of development, backed by a deep understanding of good software engineering practices.
Primary Accountabilities & Objectives:
The position involves but is not limited to the following:
Design, Develop, and Deploy:
- Architect and implement scalable applications, microservices, and APIs tailored to meet business needs.
- Utilize best practices to ensure systems are built for reliability and performance.
Code Quality Assurance:
- Craft high-quality, secure, testable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews with peers to provide constructive feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and compliance obligations.
Software Testing:
- Conduct thorough software testing using both automated and manual methods.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges to enhance software quality.
Monitoring and Logging:
- Implement robust logging and monitoring solutions to ensure system health.
- Facilitate troubleshooting and provide insights into application performance through effective monitoring tools.
Business Requirement Analysis:
- Analyze business requirements to understand customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to problem-solve and deliver the right solutions for customers.
Documentation Management:
- Maintain and improve documentation across codebases, system architectures, and knowledge bases.
- Ensure that all technical documentation is clear, up-to-date, and easily accessible to the team.
Continuous Improvement:
- Take the initiative to identify areas for improvement in code quality, system architecture, and development processes.
- Proactively address technical debt, enhance standards, and streamline workflows to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and business analysts, to align development efforts with business objectives.
- Foster a collaborative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Essential Experience:
- Experience building and maintaining software applications (10+ years).
- Experience with Drupal (5+ years).
- Experience with Typescript, React, and NodeJS.
- Experience in software testing from unit, integration, and E2E tests.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with DevOps tooling & practices.
- Experience with Github Actions.
- Experience with AWS CloudFront, Lambda, and API Gateways.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with observability tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
- Experience with large-scale websites / e-commerce.
- Experience in the travel industry.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Personally motivated, results-driven, and proactive.
- Well-organized and able to multitask while maintaining focus.
- Basic understanding of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle.
- Well-developed verbal communication skills.
- Good quality documentation skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Attention to detail and effective organization and time management skills.
