Key Responsibilities:


• Category Management: Lead the development and management of new product categories within the steel business, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.

• Market Analysis & Strategy Development: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to make informed choices with new category development.

• Pricing & Promotion: Develop and execute competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability while responding to market dynamics.

• Product Range Management: Oversee the product life cycle for new categories, from introduction to discontinuation, ensuring a well-rounded product mix.

• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure cohesive execution of category strategies.

• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor KPIs for new product categories, analyzing results to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.


Qualifications and Experience:


• 12-15 years of experience in category management or related roles within the steel industry, with a strong focus on new product development.

• Proven track record of successfully launching and managing new product categories.

• MBA from a recognized educational institute with an Engineering background (preferred).

• Strong English and Excel skills required.

• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across different levels in the organization.

• Strong planning & organizational skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

• Highly analytical thought process in order to adapt to an evolving business.
