Tcs HiringTCS is having virtual interview for skill DB2 Database administrator At TCS Kolkata location on 30th Oct 2025exp req:9 to 15 yrsMode Of interview: VirtualJDDesired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)Must-Have- 9–15 years of experience as a DB2 Database Administrator.- In-depth knowledge of db2 database versions 10.5, 11.1, 11.5, 12 etc.- Strong knowledge of IBM DB2 LUW and/or DB2 z/OS database platforms.- Database Administration – DB2 LUW Support critical production environment.- Familiarity with monitoring tools like db2top, IBM Data Server Manager.- Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization.- Experience with DB2 commands: - Stop/Start Databases, Display command, Cancel thread and Term & Display utility, others.- Hands on experience on DB2 utilities: Reorg and Runstat, Backup and Recovery of Table spaces (copy & recover), Repair, Load/Unload utilities.- Ability to bind/rebind the Plans/Packages and Granting required accesses to Packages/Plans/Collections.- Experience in Database replication – IBM DB2 Data Propagator.- DB2 administration - Strong Troubleshooting skills.- Must have performed Db2 migration- Addition and removal of hosts from the cluster manager and shared file system.- Good communication skills with both technical and management teamsGood-to-Have- Experience with remote installation and configuration of the Db2 pure scale feature.- Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL DB administration.- Experience in database security auditing and compliance.- Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform tools for database deployment automation.- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure) are a strong plus.- Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management procedures.
