About this role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Test Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests using tools like Playwright/Selenium, as well as conducting manual testing to identify and report bugs. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive suite of test cases. Your expertise in quality assurance processes will contribute significantly to delivering exceptional user experiences.
Core Responsibilities
Test Automation:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
Create and maintain a comprehensive suite of test cases covering various scenarios and functionalities.
Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects.
Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and identify potential issues early in the development cycle.
Stay up-to-date with the latest automation testing tools and best practices.
Manual Testing:
Conduct thorough manual testing to identify bugs and usability issues.
Perform exploratory testing to uncover unexpected behavior and edge cases.
Document and report defects clearly and concisely, providing steps to reproduce.
Quality Assurance:
Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality and testability.
Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
Work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role in a B2B SaaS company.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript) for automation.
Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar automation frameworks.
Experience with manual testing techniques and bug tracking tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
Knowledge of performance and security testing.
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
ISTQB certification or equivalent.
