We are seeking an accomplished MEP Design Head at AGM/DGM level to spearhead comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design operations for laboratory and pharmaceutical infrastructure projects. This is a strategic leadership role combining deep technical expertise with team management excellence, requiring 20-25 years of progressive MEP design experience with strong HVAC specialization. The ideal candidate will be a mature professional (40+ years) with proven ability to lead a 20-person multidisciplinary engineering team and manage concurrent projects ranging from ₹20 lakhs to ₹150 crores.

Drive comprehensive MEP design strategy, architecture, and implementation for large-scale laboratory, cleanroom, and pharmaceutical facility projects across India and international markets.
HVAC Design Leadership: Provide expert guidance in cleanroom HVAC design, HEPA filtration systems, manual calculations for coil selections, psychometric analysis, and temperature differentials.
Project Management: Lead end-to-end MEP design processes from concept through commissioning, ensuring projects meet specifications, budgets, and timelines while maintaining quality excellence.
Project Portfolio Management: Oversee 5 concurrent projects (90% retrofit, 10% greenfield) across chemistry, formulation, biology, gene therapy, fermentation, and QC laboratories
Team Leadership: Direct management of 20-person engineering team with 5-6 manager-level direct reports across Electrical, HVAC, Exhaust Management, HBSE, and Architecture divisions.
Serve as primary technical interface with pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare organizations, presenting design solutions and managing stakeholder expectations.
Design Innovation: Evaluate and implement advanced MEP technologies including BIM coordination, energy optimization, and sustainable design practices for laboratory environments.
Quality Assurance: Establish comprehensive quality control procedures, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry codes.
Drive knowledge-sharing initiatives, establish design standards, and lead continuous improvements in laboratory MEP engineering practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience: 20-25 years of progressive MEP design experience with minimum 10+ years in leadership roles within pharmaceutical, laboratory, or complex industrial facilities.
Expert-level proficiency in manual calculations, psychometric analysis, coil selections, and laboratory-specific HVAC design including cleanrooms and fume hood integration
Comprehensive knowledge of BMS, ELV, VAV controls for laboratory environments, pharmaceutical facility compliance (FDA, WHO, GMP standards)
Advanced expertise in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP/TRACE load calculation software, and BIM coordination tools for complex MEP systems.
Strong foundation in pharmaceutical facility design, GMP compliance, cleanroom classification standards (ISO 5-8), and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and managing complex, multi-phase MEP projects with budgets exceeding ₹50 crores.
Comprehensive knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, FDA guidelines, WHO standards, and Indian pharmaceutical facility regulations.
Communication Skills: Outstanding technical communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership and regulatory bodies.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or a related field.
Certifications: Professional Engineer license, ASHRAE certifications, or equivalent technical certifications in MEP design.
Industry Experience: Extensive experience with pharmaceutical companies or laboratory infrastructure providers serving major pharmaceutical, biotech, and research clients.
Project Portfolio: Proven track record of successfully delivering pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, research laboratories, or hospital cleanroom projects.

Base Salary: ₹40-45 lakhs per annum (based on experience and designation level)
Variable Pay: 15-20% annual performance bonus (included in CTC)
