Company Overview: Rupicard is a fintech startup based in Bengaluru that aims to democratize access to credit cards and design a credit card tailored for Bharat. We strive to make credit cards accessible to all, transcending geographical constraints and financial backgrounds. We actively support users in building and improving their credit scores, contributing to their holistic financial well-being. Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our innovative and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust, scalable web-based applications, solving complex business and technical challenges, and contributing to the overall design and architecture of our systems. You will work closely with the founder and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new features and continuous improvement of existing systems, all while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable web-based applications. High-Level Design: Lead high-level system design and architecture, including functional modeling and module breakdown. Performance Optimization: Perform performance tuning and optimization in large-scale distributed systems to ensure efficiency and scalability. Architecture Improvement: Implement incremental architectural changes and conduct impact analysis to enhance system robustness. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and other stakeholders to track project impacts, gather feedback, and iterate on solutions. Team Management: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their growth and helping them to reach their full potential. Qualifications: Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on experience in coding and solving large-scale technical challenges. Leadership: Proven experience in handling multiple projects/charters and leading/mentoring a team. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from a tier-1 institute (or equivalent experience). Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e. G., Java, Node. Js, Golang, Python, C, C++), with a strong understanding of databases (e. G., My SQL, No SQL). Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to tackle complex, real-world problems with innovative solutions. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly, listen to others, and accept feedback constructively.
