Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented DevOps Support Engineer who excels in providing operational support to our DevOps infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating routine project activities, and ensuring the stability and efficiency of our development and deployment processes. Strong scripting skills and experience with DevOps tools are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Support:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for DevOps infrastructure, ensuring the stability and performance of development and deployment environments.
  • Collaborate with development and quality teams to address issues related to build, deployment, and environment management.

CI/CD Pipeline Management:

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the integration and delivery processes.
  • Implement best practices for CI/CD to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.

Automation:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine project activities and reduce manual intervention.
  • Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate tasks related to environment setup, configuration management, and monitoring.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.

Collaboration and Troubleshooting:

  • Work closely with development and quality assurance teams to understand their needs and provide support for their CI/CD requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build failures, deployment errors, and infrastructure problems.

Documentation and Best Practices:

  • Document DevOps processes, pipeline configurations, and automation scripts to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Promote and implement best practices for DevOps processes, including version control, code reviews, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in DevOps tools and methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the overall DevOps infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a DevOps role or similar position, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline management and automation.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
