Job DescriptionResponsible for payroll administration for seafarers and ensures that payroll activities are performed timely and accurately. Follow timely handling of seafarers’ reimbursements and responsible for cash to masterJob ResponsibilitiesCompliant with payroll manual and wage matrixUnderstand accounts, calculations, OFAC verification and allotments for accurate payroll performanceReport any payroll related issues to line manager and follow up till closureResponsible for timely payroll processing/ approvals of allotmentsCommunicate with vessels, seafarers, manning offices and company accounts for payroll activitiesProvide support to seafarers for usage of My Wallem Compas for payroll/claimsKeep track of outstanding payroll and final balance of wages for amicable closureArrange Cash to MasterMonitor instances of negative balance of wages and escalation to line managerUtilize knowledge of ship, owner, collective bargaining agreement, wage scales for effective payroll administrationSupport the requirement to timely accrue cost commitments to avoid liability to the CompanyResponsible for timely processing of seafarers’ wages and claimsEscalate seafarers’ grievances to line managerDeliver performance as per job specific KPI’sJob RequirementsMinimum 5-7 years' experience in similar positionBachelor's Degree or Degree in Maritime / Logistic or related disciplinesGood Knowledge of payroll manual and wage matrixEffective communicator with a good command of English
