Weaver is looking for talented Tax professionals at the Senior Associate level to join our Fixed Asset Advisory practice This is a growing practice with room for growth and career development. The successful candidate will help our clients with:- Cost segregation- Tangible Property (Repair) Regulations- Fixed asset reviews- 179D and 45L green construction deductions and credits- R&D credit studiesA Weaver Senior Associate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. Weaver employees enjoy flexibility, meaningful and diverse client work, a supportive and innovative work environment and many more benefits.Duties & Responsibilities- Prepare cost segregation, fixed assets reviews and tax valuation for new and acquired buildings, industrial projects, renovations, and expansions.- Assist in developing benefit estimates, interacting with clients and scheduling associated project deliverables.- Prepare R&D and Rehab tax credit studies.- Assist team in preparing presentations for proposals, drafting SOWs, planning strategies, and ideas.- Respond to client requests and correspond with clients to meet engagement goals and deliverables.- Demonstrate ability to understand the IRs code, regulations, and pronouncements for various tax issues; training provided.- Prepare schedules and deliverables for management review.Education and Skills- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or construction technology- 2-5 years of public accounting experience, industry experience, or a combination of both- 1 year of experience in cost segregation- Excellent written and verbal communications skills- Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills- Proficient with Excel and Bluebeam or a similar software- Experience estimating with RS Means and CoreLogic MVS- Experience with Sage, Bloomberg/BNA Tax or CCH is a plus
