Spectral Consultants is currently hiring for a Tax Assistant Manager – ASC 740 (Provision) for one of the US-based Top 10 accounting and tax advisory firms. Overall Experience: 5–7 years | Relevant ASC 740 Experience: 3–4 years | Location: Bengaluru Work Mode: Hybrid Role Overview The ASC 740 Assistant Manager will prepare and review corporate tax provisions and returns aligned with ASC 740 and U.S. federal, state, and local tax regulations. The role involves supporting multiple client engagements, driving quality, and mentoring junior staff. Key Responsibilities Prepare year-end corporate tax provision calculations under ASC 740 Compute current & deferred tax adjustments and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) Prepare and perform first-level review of Form 1120 (Federal, State & Local) Ensure timely and high-quality deliverables Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously Conduct tax research and stay updated with regulatory and industry updates Supervise and mentor associates/interns with structured feedback Encourage a collaborative and effective team environment Apply sound judgment when preparing and reviewing tax returns Present tax findings and recommendations to managers and stakeholders Qualifications 4–5 years of experience in U.S. corporate tax, ASC 740 compliance, and federal/state regulations Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance or MBA (Finance) ; CPA/EA preferred Strong experience with ASC 740 provisions, including complex scenarios and special projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax documentation Ability to analyze financial data and identify tax-saving opportunities Team-oriented with strong coaching and interpersonal abilities Knowledge of tax software ( GoSystem, OneSource Income Tax, CCH Axcess, CaseWare, Bloomberg ) preferred Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
