Reporting to: Legal Head
What your job entails:
To handle critical litigation, which includes commercial, civil, criminal, employment, PF, and trademark laws for the company and its subsidiaries.
Who you’ll be working with:
You will be working closely with the senior stakeholders of Quess and its subsidiaries and the legal team internally and with the courts and government authorities externally.
You’ll be: An Individual Contributor
What you’ll do at Quess:
- Good litigation experience o Well versed with court process, (Civil, Criminal, employment) for court cases at various levels.
- We need people from Litigation background especially.
- Regularly review contracts and negotiate with clients
- Responsible to reply to all legal notices including police and criminal notices
- Actively be involved in managing potential litigation and ensure that Company interest is protected.
- Provide assistance in responding to queries relating to law
- Regularly review contracts and negotiate with clients
- Constantly review and draft agreements
- Provide support to the legal team as and when required
- Write various internal legal contracts, negotiating and managing client and vendor contracts and ensuring legal compliance regarding employee safety and mergers and acquisitions.
What we are looking for:
- At least 12-15 years of experience in the legal field, especially litigation/ dispute resolution
- Sound knowledge in commercial laws
- Good knowledge of laws and drafting skills
- Thorough understanding of government tendering process
- In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect an organization
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
- Ability to handle ambiguity
