With steady growth and a loyal customer base, we’re investing in technology to strengthen our operations and build a modern internal platform.About the Role We’re looking for a senior backend engineer to help build the next generation of Kaz Travel’s internal systems. The role centres on developing the backend that powers our CRM, booking workflows, supplier integrations, payments, reporting, and internal tools.You’ll work closely with our leadership and IT/data team to translate real travel business processes into clean, scalable backend services. This is a hands-on engineering position with long-term growth as we expand our tech capabilities.What You’ll Be Doing Designing backend architecture for our internal travel platform and CRMCreating data models for bookings, customers, ticketing, payments, and accountingBuilding REST APIs for internal teams and future partner/agent portalsIntegrating with major travel industry APIs, including:GDS providersBedbanks and wholesalersPayment gateways and fraud systemsImplementing key business logic such as pricing, markups, commissions, refunds, and reconciliationManaging cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, environments, logging, and monitoringWriting clear documentation for schemas, APIs, integrations, and workflowsCollaborating with our IT manager to plan development cycles and maintain delivery qualityEstablishing technical best practices as our tech team growsWhat We’re Looking For Solid commercial experience in backend or full stack engineeringStrong skills in one of the following:Node.js / TypeScriptPythonC# / .NETExcellent SQL skills and experience designing relational schemasProven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIsStrong background in integrating external APIs in a structured, maintainable wayHands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, deployments, CI/CD, and monitoringAbility to turn business workflows into clean, working technical solutionsNice to Have Experience with travel platforms, booking engines, or finance/operations backendsUnderstanding of RBAC, logging, audit trails, and secure system designComfortable using AI tools to speed up development without compromising qualitySome frontend experience (React or similar) is helpful but not requiredHow You Work You take ownership of backend systems and deliver reliable solutionsYou communicate clearly and work well in a focused, fast-moving teamYou care about maintainability, data accuracy, and long-term architectureYou prefer practical, well-structured engineering over complexity
