Job descriptionJob Description: Lab Assistant TTIC Mechanical TeamPosition: Lab Assistant Mechanical Team Department: TTIC Mechanical TeamOverview:The Lab Assistant will support the TTIC mechanical team in conducting experiments, tests, and routine lab operations. This role involves working closely with engineers and technicians to facilitate research, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for equipment setup, maintenance, data recording, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:- Assist in setting up and conducting mechanical tests and experiments in the laboratory.- Support engineers and technicians in developing and testing mechanical prototypes and systems.- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and tools.- Record and organize experimental data and test results accurately.- Prepare basic reports and summaries for review by senior team members.- Ensure the laboratory environment complies with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.- Manage inventory of lab supplies and assist with procurement as needed.- Provide hands-on support for 3D printing and prototype builds and assembly.Qualifications- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.- Experience working in a laboratory or workshop setting, preferably with mechanical systems.- Basic knowledge of mechanical testing equipment and procedures.- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.- Effective written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
