Electrical Design Engineer

We are on the lookout for an experienced and talented Senior Electrical Design Engineer with over 5 years of expertise in electrical design in MEP The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling all stages of electrical design, from Concept to Schematic to Detailed Design, through to Tender and Finally to GFC drawings.Job descriptionPrepare detailed engineering for Electrical/ELV (CCTV, Fire Alarm System, Access Control System, Telephone/Data Network system) and BMS/EMS systems according to project requirements and specificationsEstimate and cost Electrical/ELV projectsPrepare indents for Electrical/ELV projects and miscellaneous items required for the projectPrepare and review GA, SLD, and wiring drawings of Electrical PanelsReview and prepare tender documents, layouts, BOM, and costing for Electrical/ELV projectsPerform electrical load calculations and size transformers and DG setsDesign power distribution systems including lighting and power design and calculationAttend inspections at factory/vendor locationsMeet clients/consultants for kickoff/technical meetings as per project requirementsCoordinate and provide technical support to procurement and site teamsPrepare typical/schematic drawings for Electrical/ELV systems, BMS, and EMS as requiredReview and update complete project single line drawings (SLD), ceiling plan (RCP) layouts for light fixtures, light looping drawings/power circuit drawings, socket layouts for modular/industrial types, telephone/data outlet layouts, and layouts for ELV systems (access control, door interlocking, fire alarm system)Review/update and coordinate cable tray routine layout/conduit routine layout for Electrical/ELVReview panel locations, cable tray/conduit sizing, and quantification as per project requirementsReview and record as-built drawings reflecting the final state of Electrical/ELV and BMS/EMS systems inside cleanroom systems post-constructionCoordinate Electrical drawings with other services like HVAC, Utility, Process, and cleanroom partitions ensuring compatibility and efficiencyMaintain document/drawing numbering, templates, revision numbers, and save them in designated folder systems for future records and referencePerform any other detailing tasks as instructed by project management or the Head of Department related to the projectKey Responsibilities:Power System Design (HV & LV):Design and review of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) power systems.Prepare Distribution Board (DB) schedules, Voltage Drop calculations, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).Lighting Design:Design and review of lighting systems using DIALUX software.Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting:Design and review of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting.Telephone and Communication Systems:Design and review of telephone and communication systems.Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Systems:Design and review of ELV systems, including security and access control.Documentation and Quantity Estimation:Prepare Take Off Quantity sheets and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).Coordination and Communication:Maintain effective communication and coordination with clients, architects, and structural engineers.Be a proactive and collaborative team player to ensure smooth project execution.Mandatory Requirements:Proficiency in preparing detailed electrical designs from concept through to GFC drawings.Strong experience in HV & LV power systems, lighting design, fire alarm, emergency lighting, telephone, communication systems, and ELV systems.Expertise in using DIALUX for lighting design.Ability to prepare DB schedules, Voltage Drop calculations, and SLDs.Experience in preparing Take Off Quantity sheets and BOQs.Excellent communication skills.Proven ability to coordinate effectively with clients, architects, and structural engineers.A collaborative team player.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Professional certifications in electrical design or building services.Job Type: Full-timePay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per monthSchedule:Day shiftExperience:total work: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
