Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Dev Ops Specialist to lead the migration of our in-house applications from on-premises infrastructure to the AWS Cloud.
The role will focus on modernizing existing applications, establishing CI/CD pipelines, and optimizing cloud deployments using best practices in AWS architecture and Dev Ops methodologies.
You will work closely with development, operations, and architecture teams to ensure a smooth and efficient migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with development/application teams to gain deep understanding of existing application architecture, dependencies in-order to plan and execute migration strategy for application modernization with approaches such as rehosting, refactoring, rehosting.
Ensure seamless integration, minimal downtime & service disruption during migration.
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, AWS Code Build, Code Pipeline, and Argo CD for efficient, automated application delivery.
Develop and manage Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts to deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud environments like Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or GKE).
Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for application deployment, utilizing Kubernetes best practices.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of applications in Kubernetes environments using Prometheus, Grafana, EFK or other monitoring tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges, ensuring the reliability and uptime of production services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
4+ years of experience in Application Lifecycle Operations/Dev Ops engineering or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, AWS Code Build, AWS Code Pipeline, and Argo CD.
Experienced in containerization & Helm charts development.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Proficiency in Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g. Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Knowledge of networking, security best practices , and disaster recovery strategies in cloud and Kubernetes environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in AWS , Azure , or Kubernetes (CKAD/CKA).
Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) , or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
Experience in microservices architecture and deploying highly available distributed systems.
Familiarity with Git Ops principles and tools.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and improve skills.
