We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist (NLP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Py Spark , with experience working in a cloud environment (specifically Azure Databricks ), and proficiency in SQL and data warehousing . He/she will be responsible for applying advanced data science techniques, build machine learning models that deliver business insights. This role requires a passion for learning and applying cutting-edge technologies in Generative AI and deep learning for NLP tasks and deliver projects that exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities Advanced AI/ML/Gen AI Implementation: Build production grade machine learning models and ensure proper integration with business applications and systems. Client Engagement: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through taking ownerships, excellent communication, impactful delivery, and strong stakeholder management. Exhibit consulting approach: Use consultative communication style, to be open to ask relevant questions when requirements/requests are not clear and possess an ability to evaluate the necessity and relevance of tasks and suggest improvements appropriately Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineering, product, and business teams to align on objectives, achieve common goals, and show proactiveness to contribute more with knowledge and capacity. Version control: Follow Git best practices, including understanding and applying branching strategies Domain Adaptation: Apply data science methodologies across different industries and domains, with a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to new industries or sectors. Testing & Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and reliability of models through rigorous testing and validation. Attention to Detail: Demonstrate strong attention to detail towards model validation, data processing, and analysis tasks. Core Excellence Area (CEA) Candidates must have a very strong understanding of fundamentals and good hands-on expertise in at least THREE of the following areas (mention your areas while applying): NLP + Generative AI Py Spark + Databricks Machine Learning Modeling & Deployment Python + SQL Mandatory Skills Professional experience: Minimum 4+ years of total experience in data science, with at least 2+ years specifically in NLP . NLP Expertise: Proven experience with text classification , sentiment analysis , and topic modeling , using both traditional NLP techniques and advanced approaches, including Deep Learning and Generative AI (Gen AI) Py Spark & Databricks: At least 1+ year of experience working with Python , Py Spark & Azure Databricks including libraries specific to analyse & manipulate large datasets, implement statistical models, and ensure high-quality data processing Machine Learning: Deep knowledge of ML models & algorithms, aptly deciding which models and techniques to use and why, and suggest additional measures to optimize/improve existing solutions Cloud and Data Engineering: Familiarity with the Azure environment and Databricks for building and deploying scalable data pipelines and models. Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git and understanding of branching strategies for collaborative development. Good consulting capabilities SAP Experience (Nice to Have): Experience working with SAP systems (S/4 HANA, BW) is a plus. Skills & Qualification: Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s/PG in AI/ML/DS preferred). Technical Skills: Python, Py Spark, SQL, Databricks, Azure, Generative AI, Deep Learning, NLP libraries (spa Cy, NLTK, Hugging Face, etc.) Soft Skills: Consultative approach, Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication skills.
