Location: Bangalore/Pune/Chennai/Hyderabad/Kolkata/gurgaon

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Azure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration and deep expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud services. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and applications within the Azure cloud environment. The Linux Azure Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Azure Infrastructure Management:
  • Provision, configure, and manage Azure virtual machines, virtual networks, and other Azure resources.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure infrastructure components.
  • Implement and manage Azure security policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and other security measures.
  1. Linux System Administration:
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, SUSE, CentOS, Red Hat) in Azure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Linux system issues, including performance bottlenecks and hardware failures.
  • Well versed with Suse 11 & 12 version and upgrade activities
  • Mount NAS volumes, Kernel tuning performance and LVM management
  • Troubleshooting of SAP workloads hosted linux platform
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for Linux systems.
  1. Scripting and Automation:
  • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automating common tasks and processes in Azure.
  • Create and manage Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments.
  1. Application Deployment and Support:
  • Deploy and manage applications and services on Linux servers in Azure.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to ensure proper integration and performance of applications in the Azure environment.
  1. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Set up monitoring and alerting for Azure resources and Linux servers.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  1. Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain security best practices for Linux and Azure, including patch management, firewall configuration, and encryption.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  1. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of Azure configurations, Linux systems, and procedures.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team members.
  1. Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, network engineers, and security experts.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management on project status and technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, with a strong understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) in Azure is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security practices and principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
