About the Role:We are looking for an experienced Banner DBA to support and manage our Ellucian Banner® ERP environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration, Banner ERP (Banner 9), and related integration tools. This role requires expertise in performance tuning, upgrades, and system optimization while ensuring seamless ERP functionality.Key Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and upgrade Ellucian Banner® ERP and related tools.- Provide full lifecycle support for Banner ERP and Oracle environments (Oracle 19c).- Manage database & application installation, configuration, backup, recovery, and cloning.- Perform proactive system performance monitoring & tuning (AWR, ASH, optimization).- Implement Disaster Recovery strategies and ensure high system availability.- Work with Ellucian tools (ESM, Application Navigator, BEIS, Ethos Identity, Workflow, Degree Works, ePrint).- Support integration with 3rd-party applications (e.g., AppWorx, Evisions, Canvas LMS).- Configure and manage Tomcat/WebLogic environments.- Develop shell scripts on RHEL 8/Linux to automate tasks.- Ensure compliance with SAFE (Scaled Agile Framework) and audit standards.Key Skills & Qualifications:- 5+ years of experience with Ellucian Banner® software suite (Banner 9 preferred).- Strong Oracle DBA skills (RMAN, OEM, Dataguard, PL/SQL scripting).- Hands-on with Tomcat & WebLogic administration.- Experience in database backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and system performance tuning.- Strong knowledge of Linux/RHEL 8 scripting.- Exposure to Single Sign-On (SSO), Banner 9 Admin Pages, Ethos Identity.- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.- Experience with observability tools (New Relic preferred).
