We are looking for an Applied AI Backend Engineer with hands-on experience in building LLM-integrated applications and backend systems. You'll play a pivotal role in developing internal tools, connecting AI models to APIs, ERPs, CRMs, file storage systems, and more. If you thrive at the intersection of backend infrastructure, AI orchestration, and real-world business applications, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop robust backend infrastructure to orchestrate LLM agents using FastAPI, LLamaindex, or custom frameworks.
  • Integrate LLM-based workflows into enterprise tools: ERPs (e.g., SAP, Odoo), CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and cloud file systems (e.g., SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive).
  • Build connectors and tooling to interface with APIs, structured/unstructured file stores, and internal knowledge bases.
  • Deploy and manage MCP (Multi-Tool Control Protocol) servers for dynamic agent tool calling.
  • Optimize semantic search and RAG pipelines with vector databases like Qdrant, Weaviate, or Pinecone.
  • Implement secure, scalable deployment pipelines with cloud-native practices (AWS, Azure).
  • Enable caching, logging, and telemetry for high-throughput agent execution environments.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, product leads, and enterprise partners to ship reliable, production-grade AI solutions.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong Python skills with production experience using FastAPI or equivalent frameworks.
  • Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, LLaMA, Mistral, etc.) into real-time systems.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom agent frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of tool calling, function schemas, and agentic execution patterns.
  • Comfortable working with OAuth2, API keys, and integrating with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, DMS).
  • Exposure to document parsing, OCR, and embedding pipelines.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience managing or extending MCP servers or equivalent tool orchestration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Redis, Celery, or other background task queues for scaling agent tasks.
  • Prior work in document intelligence, compliance automation, or procurement workflows.
  • Knowledge of LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or function-calling design patterns.
  • Contributions to GenAI or open-source AI tooling communities.
