Are you passionate about leveraging the Python programming language to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications? If your response is a resounding yes, then we are hunting for you.

As a Python Developer at SmartQ, your primary role will be to contribute to the entire software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. In addition, writing code to implement software solutions, create algorithms, functions, and features that meet the project requirements, scripting and writing automation scripts for repetitive processes, and much more.

Key roles and responsibilities:

• Designing and architect the entire projects from backend perspective by understanding the current architectures and also by following the industry best practice in doing the same
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developer with server-side logic
• Building backend for Mobile application
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions
• Design and implement Lambda functions
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Management of hosting environment, including database administration and scaling an application to support load changes
• Data migration, transformation, and scripting
• Setup and administration of backups
• Outputting data in different formats
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving & distributed computing

Qualifications:

• Good understanding of popular AWS services and components
• Proficiency in Python (2+ years)
• Knowledge on writing restful APIs
• Profound knowledge in Serverless design pattern (Lambda,API gateway etc)
• Familiarity with Django or Webapp2 or Flask or similar web app frameworks
• Good to have experience in working with NoSQL DB
• Experience in implementing Lambda functions
• Familiarity with Node JS (Good to have)
• AWS Certification (good to have)
• Knowledge of Google App engine (Good to have)
• Educational background includes a degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience as a backend/cloud developer

Onboarding Timeline:

First Month: You will undergo training on our infrastructure and core solutions, gaining a deep understanding of the major backend modules we work with. During this time, you will become familiar with our development processes and be part of an agile team, picking up and completing user stories to understand end-to-end development cycles.

First 3 Months: You will begin working with the fellow engineers to learn, develop and build features. You will get hands on experience on deployments to GCP.

First 6 Months: By this point, you will be capable enough to know and handle new features on your own with minimal interventions from seniors which will help you to grow technically. You will be actively contributing to the Thinking Hatke community and making impactful changes in the product that's used across globe
