Backend Python Developer - Join Our Team We're looking for a passionate and experienced Backend Python Developer to join a rapidly growing EdTech company dedicated to providing exemplary coaching in the medical field across India. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of our backend systems. Design and maintain high-quality REST APIs using Django, Flask, or FastAPI. Implement secure backend logic and optimized database queries. Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability across large production systems by implementing observability, caching, and job queues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) and follow CI/CD best practices for seamless delivery. Experience: 1.6 to 3+ years of proven experience in backend engineering. Python + Frameworks: Strong experience in Django, Flask, or FastAPI. SQL & ORM: Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, query optimization, and migrations. Specialist Skills: Testing (e.g., pytest) and DevOps basics (CI/CD, Docker, Git workflows). Bonus: Experience in a Startup Company/Product-based environment. Own the Stack: Work on a mission-critical, app-based platform where your architectural and coding decisions have immediate, measurable consequences for thousands of users. Scalability Challenge: We are a Seed-funded company supporting a large and rapidly growing user base (team size 251-500), demanding continuous innovation in caching, observability, and API performance.
