Job Title: Design Engineer – PHE DESIGN ENGINEERLocation: Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaExperience: 8–10 yearsIndustry: Civil Engineering | Construction | Environmental ServicesJob Function: Engineering | Project Management | DesignAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer specializing in Plumbing / Public Health Engineering (PHE) for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will lead and manage all aspects of plumbing system design while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Project Manager and Technical Manager on all design matters- Lead plumbing/PHE design efforts for major building projects- Supervise and guide junior engineers and technicians- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and internal processes- Conduct and participate in design reviews- Maintain accurate and complete project documentationTechnical Responsibilities- Water demand calculation- Design of hot & cold water systems including circulation, pumps, valves, and pipe sizing- Drainage system design (gravity and pumped solutions)- Hot water system design: pipe sizing, flow/pressure calculations, heat exchangers, mixing loops, material selection- Cold water system design: distribution layout, pump selection, insulation, control valves- Solar water heating system design- Fire protection system design: sprinklers, fire hose reels, wet & dry risers- Water purification systems: filtration, softening, chlorination- Grey/black water recycling systems- Borewell/borehole water system designQualifications & Skills- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering- 8–10 years of experience in building services design, specifically plumbing and PHE- Strong knowledge of Indian and international standards (e.g., NBC, IS, IPC, NFPA)- Experience in Fire Protection and Detection System design- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; knowledge of Revit MEP is an advantage- Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skillsWhy Join Us?You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team working on challenging and impactful building projects.
