Position Title: Catalogue Manager
Location: Bangalore
Job Overview:
As a Catalogue Manager, you will be responsible for managing and organizing the product data, ensuring that product listings are accurate, consistent, and up-to-date across multiple e-commerce platforms. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure that all product information is properly inputted, maintained, and synced with marketplaces. You will also be tasked with resolving any catalog-related issues, tracking performance, and identifying areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Data Management:
- Input and organize product data efficiently into the catalog management system to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure all product listings are up-to-date, including product titles, descriptions, specifications, pricing, images, and any other relevant attributes.
- Regularly audit product listings to identify discrepancies or missing information, and correct them as required.
- Catalogue Template Maintenance:
- Review and ensure that catalog templates used for product listings are accurate, comprehensive, and error-free.
- Maintain and update catalog templates to reflect changes in product specifications, pricing, or promotional information.
Catalogue Query Resolution:
- Address and resolve post-submission catalog queries from internal teams, marketplace platforms, and other stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the technical team or other departments to resolve issues that prevent listings from being displayed correctly on the marketplace.
Inventory Synchronization:
- Ensure that inventory levels are updated and synced with the catalog once products are listed on marketplace platforms.
- Work with the inventory management team to ensure seamless integration between the catalogue and the inventory system, minimizing out-of-stock or overstock issues.
Coordination with Internal Teams and Stakeholders:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product management, marketing, operations, etc.) to gather product information, material masters, and other relevant details required to complete listings.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, such as marketplace account managers, to ensure all required product details are available and listings are optimized.
Performance Review & Optimization:
- Regularly assess the performance of product listings on various marketplaces to identify potential improvements.
- Coordinate with the marketing and product teams to implement strategies for enhancing catalog performance (e.g., improving conversion rates, optimizing product descriptions, and photos).
Market Insights and Trend Identification:
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for catalog improvement and product positioning.
- Provide insights into competitor catalog offerings and trends to help improve the company’s product listings and marketing strategies.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Delisting Resolution:
- Investigate and perform RCA for products that are delisted from marketplaces, identifying reasons for delisting and implementing corrective actions.
- Track and resolve tickets related to product delistings, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience (5-7 years) in catalog management, e-commerce operations, or product data management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.) and cataloging processes.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of product data management and cataloging systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of inventory synchronization processes and data management tools.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with catalog management systems and e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with software tools used for product information management (PIM) is a plus.
